WHEN JESUS WALKS IN

Key Passage: Matthew 8: 14-17

Now when Jesus had come into Peter’s house, He saw his wife’s mother lying sick with a fever. So He touched her hand, and the fever left her. And she arose and served them. When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: "He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses."

Jesus is God’s greatest gift to mankind. He is the rising sun from Heaven that has shined upon us (Lk 1: 78). He is the answer for all our needs. He is our true restorer. Whenever he walks into a person’s life, there is a miraculous change – he brings beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness (Is 61: 3).

I could imagine that the family of Peter did not know what would happen next to his mother-in-law until Jesus walked in. That precious woman was bound to the bed by the illness, and hindered from performing her choicest duty – serving. I could imagine the gloom and confusion in the air when Jesus walked in, and all those were to give way to joy and assurance because of the healing touch of Jesus. Immediately, that woman was up on her feet, ready to give Jesus her best in service. Many were also brought to him who were oppressed by evil spirits and he set them free, and healed all that were sick. He thereby revealed that he is not just a Savior; he is also a Helper, a Healer, a Deliverer, a Yoke-Breaker and a Burden Bearer. He means all these to all who believe in him.

Jesus is all you need in the face of any problem or challenge that is before you. His presence dispels darkness and restores hope and confidence; his voice gives comfort and strength and drives out the forces of evil; and his touch brings healing and restoration. There is always a positive change whenever he walks in. Why not call him in today into your life, your family, your business, your carrier and into any other situation in your life where you need help? He is willing and ready to move in and effect a change if you will let him, for that is why he came to the world (Mt 8:17). He took our burdens and pains on himself that we might agonize no more (Is 53: 5). He is now standing right at the door knocking, waiting for who will open.

Pray and call Jesus into your life, your family, your business and your career. Call him into every situation in your life today. Believe in him and expect a miraculous turnaround. He that has called us is faithful; he will not disappoint you.
