Key Passage: Deuteronomy 34:9

Now Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him; so the children of Israel heeded him, and did as the LORD had commanded Moses.

Loyalty and faithfulness in service are rare virtues in our time, and they are very important in tapping into the blessings God has placed on His anointed servants.

Joshua was full of the Spirit of wisdom because Moses, his mentor, laid his hands upon him. He had great success in his leadership of Israel. He led the people through the River Jordan into the Promised Land.. He overran the great kings and kingdoms in the land, and slew the mighty giants. He stopped the sun and the moon for a whole day until His people fully destroyed their enemies. He had so much success because he was full of the Spirit of wisdom. And he received such power because he recognized the person the man God ordained as the leader of the Israel, submitted to his authority and served him faithfully.

In our generation, a lot of people want to have great success in life and ministry without recognizing and serving faithfully the leaders and mentors God has placed over them. Many do not appreciate the importance of mentors and do not submit to their authority.
