There is a journey between vision and fulfillment.
That journey is called pursuit, which refers to the practical steps
in realizing your vision. When pursuit is defined, it becomes a mission,
and a mission takes a lot from you to be successful. It takes your
brain, to think, meditate and plan for the success of the
mission; your eyes, to seek for opportunities to
realize your goal; your hands, to work in pursuit
of the mission; your knees, to pray for the success
of the mission; your feet, to move in faith towards
your destiny; and your heart, to face with courage
the challenges inherent in the pursuit.
Fulfilling your mission does not come through fantasy and wishful thinking;
it results from a conscious effort to carry out exactly what you believe
God called you to do. Sometimes the process may be winding and cumbersome;
however, with hard work, determination and faith, you will fulfill your
mission. The way you carry out your mission goes a long way in determining
how successful you will be. You need to put in your best and trust God
absolutely to see you through. You should be focused and determined, and
not succumb to pressures or discouragements. Many of the people who made
history through their accomplishments had predictions of failures, but
when they labored faithful, they succeeded.
Abraham and Sarah’s life of faith began one day. When Abraham’s
call came, they had no son. When they arrived in Canaan they had no place
they could call theirs, but traveled from one place to another, living
in tents. When Lot was separated from them, God opened Abraham’s
eyes to see the territories He would give them, but they still had no place
that was theirs. In Genesis 15 verses 1-6, Abraham suffered a blackout;
but the Lord visited him and renewed his vision, and his faith in God lifted
him. They faced other challenges that could have frustrated them, but they
remained faithful to God and focused on their mission. At their old age,
God fulfilled His promise to Abraham and gave them a son. Through that
son, God made their descendants a great nation and gave them the land of
Canaan as a possession.
The journey to greatness is never easy, but it begins one day. God has
promised to back up every mission He inspired and see it through to a fruitful
end. If we shall press on diligently and trust God absolutely like Abraham
and Sarah, and not succumb to discouragement, we will surely see our goals
realized.
Pray, Lord,
give me the grace to trust You absolutely; help me never to give
up on my mission until it is fulfilled.
