Praise is the cheer, accolade, honor, adoration and worship we give
to God for His goodness, His mercies, His love, His majesty, and
His power. It is the _expression we give in songs, words and attitude
to adore, exalt and honor God for who He is and for all His wonderful
works.
God is good to all. His love is incomparable and His mercy is everlasting.
His promises are sure. He does not fail those who put their trust
in Him. He is the great King of all the earth and He rules in righteousness,
justice and truth. He deserves that all people should praise Him.
God commands all the people in all the nations of the world to praise
Him. “For He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good,
and sends rain on the just and on the unjust” (Matt 5:45).
He also commands His people to praise Him – those He has redeemed
from Satan and sin and called His own: “This people I have
formed for Myself; they shall declare My praise” (Is 43:21).
God must bless when praise rise, because praise provokes Him to
action. Many times the hands of God are tied by the sinfulness, the
unfaithfulness and ungratefulness of men. Sometimes, the curses,
yokes and bondages that cripple many from receiving from a perfect
God hold Him back. But praise unties God’s hands and releases
His miracle working power that breaks yokes and tears down the walls
of hindrances. “Then the earth shall yield her increase” and
the desired blessings shall flow down unhindered.
What should you then do? Praise! Praise God. Tell of His goodness,
love and faithfulness. Sing! Shout! Dance! And make joyful melodies
to God and you shall experience His wonder working power in your
life. Begin to praise and you will begin to triumph. “And all
the ends of the earth shall fear Him.” Praise the Lord!
Pray: Lord I will praise
You and I will never cease.
